I've done this mural for L.A. "It's All About The Taste" branding at The Camden Bar. Located at jalan Cikini, near Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta Pusat. Cikini is an administrative village in the Menteng district of Indonesia. Many expatriate work and lives here.
Here are the short brief of the mural project
Theme : Vintage signage
Venue : The Camden Bar - Cikini
Size : 400cm x 200cm
It will looks vintage, rustic but not to shabby, please.
Despite of heavy rain and other minor obstacle like I have to clear the area each day before the bar open at 5 pm, I luckily managed to finish the whole mural process within a week. L.A. vintage signage looks great in the afternoon with the lights on. It blend nicely with the atmosphere. Vintage sign finishing done by Mural Papalago +6288212554703
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE TASTE
is the slogan of L.A. brand. Whether you like it clean and sleek or a bit rough, it's all about a personal choice of taste. Dominated with black background an yellow bar logo. L.A. red logo still catch the eye.
RUSTICATION PROCESS
I called this finishing stage as rustication. It is a step for achieving vintage look. Anything can be use, here i use a scrap, screwdriver and pliers to scratch the plaster wall. Need to repeat the step several times including spray over the paint to get natural ageing looks.
